The Pentax Espio 738G is a 35mm compact camera with autofocus and a zoom lens, issued by Pentax. Part of the Pentax Espio IQZoom series. It was also sold as the IQZoom EZY-R.
The lens is a Pentax 38-70mm - a useful focal length for general photography. Focusing is automatic, and the camera sets the distance for you when you press the shutter release slightly. Fully automatic (program) exposure, where the camera selects the shutter speed and aperture required. This means that the camera can be used under a wide range of conditions, with no extra manual settings required. Film speeds are set automatically using DX coding with most films.
An electronic flash is built in, and enables you to take pictures in low light conditions without worrying about camera shake. The flash switches on automatically when it's needed and can be switched on and off manually, so you can also use it for fill-in flash in daylight. Anti-red eye feature to reduce red eye in your pictures.
The optical viewfinder provides a bright and clear image of the subject for simple and accurate framing. Film advance is motorised, and the camera will load the film automatically, wind on after each shot and then rewind at the end of the film. Extra features include lens cover and shutter lock, B (Bulb) setting for time exposures, mid roll rewind, self timer and tripod socket. Power saving feature turns off camera when not being used. Power is supplied by 1x CR123A lithium battery.
