There are no changes to the optical specifications from the previously released black models: instead, the exterior of the lenses has been given a silver finish that complements the silver body.
The lenses are equipped with electronic contacts, and through information disclosed by Fujifilm Corporation, they enable highly reliable electrical communication between the lens and the camera body. When used with a body that supports electronic communication and the latest firmware, these lenses provide EXIF data, focus confirmation, and a shooting distance indicator; on certain models, they also support in-body image stabilization and parallax correction.
When mounted on a camera model that does not support electronic communication, setting the "Release without lens" option to "Allow" in the camera settings enables shooting in

Auto mode.
The lenses come with a dedicated straight-type screw-on hood; in addition, a shared metal hood with slits is available as an optional accessory.
