This Leica RC-SCL4 Remote Release Cable is compatible with the Leica SL (Typ 601) Mirrorless Digital Camera. It is designed to allow the user to trigger the shutter while preventing unwanted movement due to camera shake from appearing within the resulting image. This is especially useful when slow shutter speeds are used while the camera is placed on a support system such as a tripod, when directly touching a shutter button can result in camera shake that is typically not visible due to faster shutter speeds.
