he Ricoh GXR Lens 10 24-72mm f2.5-4.4 VC Camera Unit is part of the GXR camera system and consists of a 24-72mm f2.5-4.4 zoom lens and a 1-1.7 inch 10 megapixel CCD sensor in a complete unit. The 24-72mm lens offers a useful and versatile range of focal lengths. 24mm is ideal for capturing sweeping landscapes or interiors, while the 72mm telephoto is great for portraits or to concentrate on a specific point of a scene. The /1.7-inch CCD image sensor is capable of achieving both high-sensitivity and low-noise characteristics - this CCD can handle the wide sensitivity setting range of ISO100 to 3200. Even at these extremes the sensor is able to produce natural-looking images with tonal gradations. The unit is also capable of focussing as close as just 1cm from your subject which, combined with the 24mm wide-angle zoom, creates an amazing perspective The Ricoh GXR is an interchangeable unit camera system in which lenses are changed by using a slide-in mount system to attach camera units to the body.
